About the product
What is Bifrost?
Bifrost is a global social app developed and operated by Beijing Yanwan Technology Co., Ltd. (listed on the App Store as Bifrost: Global social). People match with real people around a near-term goal such as an exam, IELTS, fitness, or a job search. If both light each other up within 12 hours, they start a seven-day one-to-one journey and share daily to-dos and completion status.
What is the official Bifrost website?
The official website is https://www.birost.cn/ (the domain is birost.cn, without the letter f); www.thebifrost.cn points to the same site. Please download the app only from this website or official app stores.
Is Bifrost a global social app? Can I meet people abroad?
Yes. Recommendations are based on goals and interests rather than location, so you can meet partners in other cities, regions, or countries to study, practice languages, or exchange cultures.
Is Bifrost an AI chat app?
No. Bifrost connects real people with similar goals, and every recommended partner is a real user. The app also includes a separate Bifrost AI assistant for questions, brainstorming, writing help, and scheduled tasks; AI-generated content is clearly labeled.
What else can I do in Bifrost?
Bifrost also has a focus timer (alone or with a friend), a discovery community with public, friends-only, or private posts, direct and group chats, the Bifrost AI assistant with scheduled AI tasks, a 21-day book publishing check-in, and profile visitor records.
Is Bifrost free?
Bifrost is free to download, and goal matching, lighting up, the seven-day journey, and shared to-dos are free to use. If the app offers anything paid, the price and rules are shown before purchase.
Matching and the seven-day journey
How does Bifrost recommend partners?
Bifrost recommends real people based on the milestone you pick, your interests, and public profile information, and shows a match score. Visibility is distributed evenly so more people get a chance to be seen. You review the profile and decide whether to light someone up.
What does “light up” mean?
Lighting up a card means you would like to be partners. A one-to-one journey starts only if the other person lights you back within 12 hours; without mutual light-up, no connection is created.
What happens during the seven days, and after?
For seven days you share daily to-do lists and completion status and can chat. When the seven days end, each person can choose whether to start another seven days together.
When do clear photos unlock?
Before mutual interest only a translucent photo is shown. Clear photos unlock after the seven-day journey is completed.
What does “21 days” mean in Bifrost?
The journey is always seven days; there is no 21-day journey. “21 days” refers only to the book publishing check-in, which requires checking in on 21 consecutive calendar days.
Is Bifrost a dating app?
Bifrost matches people by near-term goals, and its core is two people taking action together for seven days. It does not match by distance or looks: photos stay translucent until the journey is complete.

Privacy and safety

Photos stay translucent before mutual interest, and you can report content, turn on youth mode, and delete your account in Settings. Users in the United States are covered by the U.S. Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
How do I delete my Bifrost account?
You can delete your account in the app’s Settings. Please save anything you need first.
